Some of the most successful miners, investors and analysts in the mining space will be in Vancouver Tuesday through Friday talking about surviving and planning beyond one of the worst bear markets in decades.

Mining mogul Robert Friedland and Sprott Asset Management founder Eric Sprott are among some of the keynote speakers at the Sprott-Stansberry Natural Resource Symposium at the Fairmont Hotel.

Other speakers include Rick Rule, chairman of Sprott U.S. holdings, David Harquail, CEO of Franco-Nevada Corp. (TSX:FNV), and resource newsletter writers Brent Cook (Exploration Insights), James Rickards (Strategic Intelligence) and John Kaiser (Kaiser Research Online).

Local speakers include Randy Smallwood, CEO of the Vancouver streaming company Silver Wheaton Corp. (TSX:SLW).

Over the four-day event, speakers will cover topics that include:

• how to play a bear market in precious metals and natural resources;

• mania and manipulation in the gold and silver markets (Eric Sprott); and

• the future of currency wars and its impact on gold prices (James Rickards).

Fifty select junior resource companies will be exhibiting at the symposium, which last year attracted 400 attendees.

Tickets for the four-day event at the Fairmont Hotel are $699 and are available online .
