Twinkling lights, artisan vendors in wooden huts, festive music, a whirling carousel, and brimming mugs of mulled wine await when the 10th annual Vancouver Christmas Market returns for its 10th anniversary season.
This enchanted German-style Christmas village will pop up once again at Jack Poole Plaza, beckoning shoppers, families, and merry-seekers of all kinds for its end-of-year run.
Running November 20 through December 24, 2019, the Vancouver Christmas Market will be lit up with holiday lights, including the 36,000 lights on Canada’s first-even “Walk-In Christmas Tree” that anchors the marketplace.
You’ll also find the beloved Christmas Carousel, the Love Locks installation for the lovebirds, a heated lounge, the Winterdeck, and the Christmas Pyramid’s ‘Flying Stage’ perched 10 feet high above the market offering a lively line-up of daily festive entertainment.

New this year, to mark a decade of December delight, the Vancouver Christmas Market will also have a 10th anniversary Christmas mug towering in the centre of the market. For those in the know, you can get your Glühwein (hot-spiced mulled wine) in a collectible souvenir cup – the design changes each year.
Speaking of drinking and eating, Market-goers will also find fare like German Bratwurst, Gulasch, Spätzle, Schnitzel, sweet and savoury macarons, syrup-filled pancakes, warm roasted chestnuts, a selection of German beer, award-winning German style wine, and so much more, including new food vendors offering foods like aebleskiver (Danish pancake bites), hot chocolate, turkey legs, and sweet and savoury flatbreads.
Tickets are on sale now, and you can look for special promos like $10 Tuesdays (November 26 and December 3, 10 & 17), Kids Day (December 1), and Deluxe Date Nights (November 27, December 4 & 11).
