The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) has announced there will be a 2021 PNE Fair, in adherence with B.C.'s Step Three "Restart Plan" protocols, but it will have limited attractions.

PNE President and CEO Shelley Frost said the decision was made after careful consideration in light of increasing vaccination rates and declining coronavirus (COVID-19) case counts

“The PNE team have worked tirelessly to plan for a reduced capacity fair with a more limited scope that still delivers the fun that people have come to expect, and to that end we have been successful,”  Frost said.

“This is good news not only for our staff, exhibitor and concessionaire partners, but also for the many young, first-time employees who rely on the PNE to pay for school or support their families.”

The 2021 PNE Fair will include the President's Choice SuperDogs, nightly live music featuring local artists, the West Coast Lumberjack Show and a nightly pyro-musical finale.

The in-person event is set to run from Aug. 21 to Sept. 6, with tickets on sale starting July 2. More information can be found on the PNE’s website.
