And so we "meat" again: the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival will return for 2021 with an event they hope will be un-brie-lievable for charcuterie fans this fall.

Taking place Saturday, Nov. 6 in North Vancouver at the historic Pipe Shop, the popular fest that celebrates all things meaty and cheesy will feature an array of artisan vendors and their wares for ticket-holders to enjoy.

The fest has been somewhat re-imagined to work under pandemic restrictions. To that end, tickets for 50 per cent of the capacity will be available until British Columbia moves into Phase 4 of its four-part reopening plan.

Organizers of the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival say the pandemic has amplified people's desire to buy local. There are already around 40 vendors on board, each of whom makes something perfect to go on or with your charcuterie board, including chocolate and beer.

"Our goal is to introduce guests to new products and exciting pairings that excite their taste buds. The key is that guests can journey to the Festival as a one-stop shop to taste various products produced locally," said founder David Bain.

While the focus of the fest is pretty squarely set on meat and cheese, Vancouver's own Blue Heron, a plant-based cheese-maker, is among the confirmed participants.

Here are the vendors slated to take part in the 2021 Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival:
