Kim Shannon, CFA founded Sionna, one of the largest independent investment firms led by a woman. Since joining the industry in 1983, she has received numerous awards, including Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year (2005), the RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Award (2007), Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award (2007, 2017), the Rotman Women in Management Association Top 10 Award (Entrepreneur, 2015) and the Rotman Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award (2021). Kim was also inducted into the IIAC Investment Industry Hall of Fame in 2022 and is active in supporting her community, serving on many boards and investment committees.
