The largest Topshop Topman clothing store outside of the U.K. will open at the Bay's Vancouver store, the Hudson's Bay Co. announced this morning.
Topshop sells women's fashion, and Topman is the men's equivalent.
Building on a capsule store that launched in the Bay in August 2011, the expanded Topshop Topman store is set to occupy more than 33,000 square feet.
The Bay is also opening its second Toronto Topshop Topman location, after one in Yorkdale Mall, plus a capsule shop in Montreal.
"After a wildly successful launch at our Yorkdale Mall location in Toronto, we can't wait to open Topshop Topman in Vancouver and downtown Toronto," said Bonnie Brooks, president of the Bay.
The Vancouver location will carry complete Topshop Topman collections plus premium collections including Boutique Unique and TM Ltd. and exclusive design collections.
The Vancouver store will feature an escalator entrance directly from Granville Street.
Topshop Topman is set to join a slew of just-opened and opening-soon downtown retail newcomers, including Robson Street's J. Crew, Forever 21 and Crate and Barrel.
Business in Vancouver also recently reported that Victoria's Secret owner Limited Brands Inc. (NYSE:LTD) has been negotiating a lease for the former 30,000-square-foot HMV location on Robson Street.
