Icelandair touched down for the first time at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) just before 6 p.m. on May 13 and is expected to make its maiden flight out of YVR on May 14 at 3:55 p.m.
The airline plans to have twice-weekly, non-stop seasonal service between Vancouver and Reykjavik, Iceland and more then connect to more than 20 European destinations.

The airline’s schedule for 2014 is the largest in the company’s history and will increase by 18% compared with 2013 thanks to the new destinations and added frequencies from several cities in North America and Europe.
Icelandair is the second international airline to make inaugural flights to Vancouver so far this year.
