Vancouverites looking to put together impromptu gatherings for groups have a good selection of restaurants to choose from, according to an OpenTable report.
Sixteen of the country’s 100 best restaurants for large gatherings are located in British Columbia, the report said, with 13 located here in the Lower Mainland. The list was compiled by looking at 275,000 customer reviews for more than 1,600 restaurants across the country. Overall restaurant ratings were considered for all eateries marked as “good for groups” by reviewers.
"Canadians love to celebrate together during the holidays, and that includes sharing a dining experience with those near and dear to us," said OpenTable Canada head of national accounts Ziv Schierau.
"The restaurants on our 100 Best Restaurants for Groups list provide everything diners could ask for at this time of year, from incredible culinary experiences to superior service and unforgettable company."
The best restaurants for groups in the Lower Mainland, in alphabetical order, are:
- Bauhaus Restaurant, Vancouver;
- e.b.o. Restaurant & Lounge, Burnaby;
- Federico’s Supper Club, Vancouver;
- Gyu-Kaku Nelson Street, Vancouver;
- Kaya Malay Bistro, Vancouver;
- The Keg Alberni Street, Vancouver;
- The Keg Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver;
- La Pentola, Vancouver;
- Notch8, Vancouver;
- Nuba Kitsilano, Vancouver;
- Showcase Restaurant & Bar, Vancouver;
- Tavola, Vancouver; and
- Washington Avenue Grill, White Rock.
Other restaurants in B.C. that made the list were:
- 19 Okanagan Grill + Bar, West Kelowna;
- Liquidity Bistro, Okanagan Falls; and
- The Terrace – Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, West Kelowna.
