Whistler four times pricier than Vancouver for New Year’s Eve: survey

B.C.'s best-known resort town will cost partygoers at least $745 for an overnight stay on New Year's Eve

Whistler is helping Vancouver start 2018 looking like an awfully frugal destination.

A survey from CheapHotels.org reveals partygoers taking in New Year’s Eve in B.C.’s best-known resort town will have to shell out $745 for the cheapest available double room.

That’s four times more expensive than the cheapest double room available in Vancouver, listed at $179 for December 31.

The rankings only examined hotels with a central location and rated at least three stars.
