Seaspan Marine will invest more than $6 million in marine training over five years through a new international partnership.

The multi-year, multi-million-dollar agreement will see UK-based SeaWays Global provide marine training and tugboat simulation to Seaspan’s ship escort, ship assist and towing services.

The agreement includes the installation of a multi-console tugboat simulator at the company’s campus in North Vancouver.

SeaWays Global’s programs are internationally recognized and have been developed over the past 15 years. The company has an existing training facility and simulator in Portsmouth, UK.

Seaspan Marine is a subsidiary of Seaspan ULC.
