A Vancouver-based electric vehicle-maker is taking a detour from the OTC Markets Group and on to the Nasdaq as part of an effort to raise more money to manufacture its distinct rides.

Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp. (Nasdaq: SOLO) debuted on the high-profile American stock exchange Thursday (August 9).

The company received its first production model of its single-passenger, three-wheeled vehicles last month after signing a deal last year with a Chinese manufacturer, Zongshen Industrial Group Co. Ltd.

Initial deliveries are expected this fall.
