According to a new OfficeTeam report, most Canadian workers - 79% - are happy with their bosses. Of those, many say they consider their bosses to be good leaders, mentors and even friends. Not everyone is happy with their bosses, however; some respondents report working for micromanagers or incompetent leaders.
"It's important that managers recognize the impact of their role as leaders in establishing positive work relationships and supporting the satisfaction, performance and engagement of their employees," OfficeTeam district president Koula Vasilopoulos said.
"Successful leaders are those who take and active interest in their staff's professional development and career growth and encourage greater autonomy over projects to inspire increased confidence, productivity and overall commitment to the business."
