Western Canada’s largest art fair, the five-year-old Art Vancouver, attracted record attendance in 2019 of more than 10,000 visitors, the organization revealed May 7.
The exhibit featured young and experienced artists from B.C. and around the world who produced contemporary works that were on display under the sails at Vancouver Convention Centre East.
The event, which intends to be an inclusive, immersive event in which to celebrate visual art in Vancouver and give visitors the opportunity to meet artists, view and purchase work.
Exhibitors arrived from more than 20 countries, including Mongolia, Philippines, Korea, Taiwan and India.
The fair ran April 25 and 28 and next year’s event is set for April 16-19 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
