Vancouver’s Gastown Strategy Group will become part of the much larger Strategies 360 public relations firm in a merger announced this morning.

The transaction will mean that Strategies 360 will have a total of 21 offices that are in 12 western U.S. states, Washington, D.C., Jakarta, Indonesia, and Vancouver.

With offices in cities such as Anchorage, San Diego, Seattle, Honolulu and Vancouver, Strategies 360 is positioning itself to link communications professionals along the North American west coast with others across the continent.

“With this merger, we are adding deep expertise in advertising, digital marketing, communications and research to enhance our exceptional public affairs services,” said Michael Gardiner, president of Strategies 360 Canada, which is Gastown Strategy Group’s new name.

“We are excited to expand our range of services to provide our clients a fully-integrated experience that spans the West Coast.”
Gardiner’s team will continue to serve Gastown Strategy Group’s clients.

His agency has a niche in government relations, and his team includes vice-president Stephen Howard, public affairs manager Esmahan Razavi and government relations manager Jeff Andrus.

Across the firm footprint, Strategies 360 represents private, public, and non-profit clients at local, regional, and national levels.

“We know the West is unique,” said Ron Dotzauer, founder and CEO of Strategies 360.

"It’s home to some of the world’s most innovative companies, passionate people, and forward-thinking public policy and engagement practices. By adding British Columbia to our footprint, we are connecting our clients to leading experts across the Western Seaboard.”
