Brew fans, we wouldn't blame you if a few tears were shed this summer over the loss of all our region's beer festivals for now and the foreseeable future.
With large gatherings on pause in B.C., craft beer lovers who would typically congregate at tasting events and fests are having to make do. To help out, one Vancouver-based beer biz has rallied together a few local colleagues to put together a limited edition At Home Beer Festival Kit.
Launched by Stanley Park Brewing, the new kit puts the fun of a fest in a box, and is perfect for a small get-together with your bubble buddies or "quaran-team."
The At Home Beer Festival Kit features a variety of beer styles, from four local breweries including Stanley Park Brewing, Russell Brewing, East Van Brewing, and Red Truck Beer Co. Inside the box you'll also find beer passports, table mats, tasting cups for six adults and all the materials you need to set up your own "event" at home - or, if you plan to visit some parks in North Vancouver or Port Coquitlam.
“We figured that since the beer festival season is cancelled, why not bring the fun home? Beer festivals are a great way to discover beers you may not have tried before, we’ve created an experience where you can not only explore brands and styles, but also support and celebrate local breweries,” shared Thom Riley, Brewmaster at Stanley Park Brewing.
The kits are available for purchase on the Stanley Park Brewing website now and can be picked up at the Stanley Park Brewing Restaurant and Brewpub (8901 Stanley Park Drive). Delivery is also available to Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby and New Westminster. The kit itself is valued at over $300, but is specially priced at $120 + tax.
