A mini-golf course is popping up in Gastown before summer ends

What has nine holes, views of iconic downtown Vancouver buildings, and cocktails?

Something called Smooth Putt.

The nine-hole putting green will be set up starting Aug. 28 at 555 West Cordova St., taking all challengers (who have around $20 to spend on mini-golf).

"While summoning their inner Tiger on the French-themed putting green (complete with challenges like a mini-Ferris wheel and the Paris bridge, Pont Des Arts) golfers will enjoy one of two Grey Goose cocktails with the $21 admission," writes the Gastown Business Improvement Society (GBIS) in a press release.

Grey Goose is touring the course across Canada, with similar events in Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.

Along with the little game of golf, five Gastown restaurants are joining in with the vodka company.

"They've each put together a Grey Goose cocktail, golf-inspired, and a menu item to go along with the cocktail," GBIS spokesperson Elise Yurkowski tells Vancouver is Awesome.

The five are Jules Bistro, Smith’s Bar & Restaurant, Steamworks Brew Pub, Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar, and Water St. Cafe.

"We're just excited to find a new avenue to get people down to Gastown," Yurkowski says.

Tickets for the putting course are available online. The golf will run until Sept. 6.
