2021 BC Export Awards Nominees Announced

Twelve finalists were announced Wednesday for the annual BC Export Awards, the province's most prestigious business honours reflecting the successes and innovative approaches by B.C. companies serving international markets.

Twelve finalists were announced Wednesday for the annual BC Export Awards, the province's most prestigious business honours reflecting the successes and innovative approaches by B.C. companies serving international markets.

Finalists in four categories were announced: Professional Services, Advancing Technology, Manufactured Products, and Emerging Exporter. One of the four winners in those categories will be proclaimed Exporter of the Year. Additionally, a special Leadership Award will be bestowed to recognize an individual's special achievements in the pandemic.

The award winners will be announced at an in-person event November 19 at Terminal City Club in Vancouver 2-4 p.m. that will also be live-streamed at biv.com. The program will feature discussions with George Chow, minister of state for trade, and Ravi Kahlon, minister of jobs, economic recovery and innovation. 

Finalists in the Professional Services category are Ayogo Health of Vancouver, Canexia Health of Vancouver, and Fatigue Science of Vancouver.

Finalists in the Advancing Technology category are FPS Food Process Solutions of Richmond, MetaOptima Technology of Vancouver, and Vitalus Nutrition of Abbotsford.

Finalists in the Manufactured Products category are Cellula Robotics of Burnaby, Primacoustic of Port Coquitlam, and San Group of Langley.

Finalists in the Emerging Exporter category are Canadian Jerky of Surrey, Tru Earth of Vancouver, and The Very Good Food Company of Victoria.

The award program, conceived in 1982, has recognized more than 300 companies since its inception, reflecting the growth and diversity of BC’s economy over nearly four decades.
