Just in time for the start of the 2023 season, the National Football League (NFL) has signed an agreement with Victoria's STN Video.
STN Video Inc. -- formerly SendtoNews -- specializes in providing sports video highlights from the NHL, NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball games for newspapers, which embed the videos in their online sports stories.
Publishers include the New York Post, Miami Herald, Sports Illustrated, Chicago Tribune and USA Today Sports.
STN today announced that the NFL has signed a "multi-year partnership agreement extension" with STN to deliver official highlights, game recaps, top plays, interviews and more to their users.
“Fan engagement has always been a top priority,” Blake Stuchin, the NFL’s Head of Digital Media Business Development, said in a press release. “STN has been an instrumental partner in engaging fans whenever and wherever they get updates about their favorite team.”
“The NFL is synonymous with some of the most exciting, well produced and fan-driven content in all of sports,” said STN CEO Matthew Watson. “Partnering with the NFL allows us to serve our online publishing and advertising partners with brand safe, contextually relevant video from the most watched league.”
Under the agreement, publishers will have access to the following NFL content:
- Five international regular season games in the UK and Germany, including the league's first ever game in Frankfurt;
- The first-ever meeting between the most recent Most Valuable Player award winners, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers in Week 4
- Two holiday tripleheaders on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
- A matchup between the top two picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, Bryce Young and CJ Stroud in Week 8 when the Carolina Panthers host the Houston Texans
(Editor's note: This story has been corrected to reflect that the agreement is between the NFL and STN Video, not with newspaper publishers.)
