This is the third issue of BIV’s Indigenous business magazine Mákook pi Sélim, which launched in June 2021. The publication is entirely written by Indigenous journalists, writers and columnists, and is edited by Chastity Davis Alphonse, an award-winning Indigenous relations strategic advisor. Mákook pi Sélim, which loosely translates as “buying and selling” in Chinook Wawa, is a dedicated space to highlight Indigenous stories, trends, issues and successes in business.
