What career highlight are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the team we have built at Site and the culture we have created.  To go from 0 staff to over 85 across Site in the last six years is a milestone I am really excited about. Our business is all about people—and the talent we have at Site is what defines our success.

What has been your toughest business or professional decision to date?

In 2022 we made the strategic decision to diversify our business from just a marketing agency to a consulting services group that includes technology, media, talent, production and venture. This required a shift in our strategy and reinvestment for key staff and resources. The tough decision was changing something that was working really well in the present, for a more successful (and diversified) future.

How do you lead?

I believe in leading through example and action. People watch what you do more than what you say. I was mentored throughout my career by leaders that put in the work and delivered results through servant leadership. I try to lead my team through my actions and communicating a vision that they can align with and get excited to be a part of. Paint a big vision—and also put in the work.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?

Momentum happens in small steps and compounds over time. To build a great company there really are no shortcuts—and at the end of the day it really comes down to the people.

Best piece of advice ever received?

Hire really smart people and then let them do what they do best.

What is your definition of success?

I think the joy of business is in the pursuit. I believe success is a journey we all chase but to truly have it you need to love the process. The happiest individuals I know are not the wealthiest or most famous, but individuals who are truly in their “sweet spot” of working in a role that they are perfectly positioned for and are winning because of their talent, unique skillset and passion for the problem they are trying to solve. This can be anyone—a teacher, welder, stay-at-home parent or  entrepreneur.

What are you most passionate about outside of work?

My family. My wife and I have four amazing young kids at home and no day is boring. There is no better feeling than coming home after an intense day and walking into a dance party.

What’s left to accomplish?

There is a lot still to do. Our mission at Site is to “elevate” the industrial sector and truly become a modern growth partner for construction, manufacturing and resource sectors. Our clients really are the heroes doing some amazing work across Canada—we want to be the trusted services and digital products company to help builders build.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or acknowledge?

I really want to thank my amazing wife Julia and our family. The entrepreneurial journey is not always easy. There are long days and stressful moments. It really is a team sport and Site would not be where it is today without her commitment and hard work as well. Thanks as well to our amazing team at Site. I am blown away each day by the talent and hard work across our companies. They truly are what make it all possible and I am humbled to get to lead such a great group.
