Vancouver Coastal Health is warning patrons of a city strip club about possible exposure to COVID-19 earlier in the week, officials said in a release.

According to the report, multiple cases of COVID-positive tests were recorded from people who attended Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge in downtown Vancouver from June 21 to 24 between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.

As a precaution, officials from Vancouver Coastal Health is now asking people who were at the club during those times to self-monitor for the next 14 days for potential symptoms.

Those without symptoms do not need to self-isolate, officials added, and should not request COVID-19 testing because of the possibility of false positives.

The general public - or even those who attended Brandi's outside those specific hours on the designated days - are not at risk, Vancouver Coastal Health noted. Brandi's is currently closed on a temporary basis.
