The 43rd annual Vancouver International Wine Festival is set to take place this May, and this year's exciting in-person lineup features an impressive 101 wineries from 41 countries across the globe pouring at 27 events over the course of one very full week.
British Columbian wineries have the most prominent showing - of course! - but there will be 18 producers from Italy, 14 from the United States, as well as several from popular wine-producing regions in Spain, Australia, and Argentina. And for the first time ever, the nation of Georgia will have a winery headed to Vancouver for the festival.

The VIWF is primarily based out of the Vancouver Convention Centre, but venues across the city, including restaurants, will host a multitude of ticketed events as part of the celebration. Those events include tastings, seminars, dinners, and the epic Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction (benefiting Bard on the Beach) will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
The heart of the festival is the Tasting Room, where all 101 wineries will gather for four International Festival Tastings (and two Trade Tastings).
Tickets for the International Festival Tastings (May 19-21) and the Super Pass are now on sale, while tickets for public events (including seminars, winery dinners, minglers and lunches) will go on sale Wednesday, April 6 at 9:30 a.m. Find all ticketing info on the VIWF site.
