The general contractor on the London Drugs store on the redeveloped Woodward’s site is suing the project developers for alleged debt of $386,804.
Contractor NGC Management Ltd. filed suit in the BC Supreme Court March 26 against 101 West Hastings Holding Ltd. and Westbank Projects Corp. doing business as W. Redevelopment Group.
In the statement of claim, NGC alleges that under a 2009 agreement with Westbank, NGC agreed to provide contracting services, work and materials to build the London Drugs store.
The plaintiff claims that Westbank “has refused or neglected to make payment of the amount owing to the plaintiff by Westbank pursuant to the contract, despite demand.”
NGC is seeking $386,804, a builders lien for $386,804 and an order that all necessary directions, accounts, inquiries and references be taken.
Last year, Allan Window Technologies Inc., a subcontractor on the Woodward’s redevelopment, also filed suit against W. Redevelopment Group and 101 West Hastings, seeking more than $2 million in alleged debt for supplies and labour.
