The Aquilini Investment Group (AIG) has recruited Vancouver’s former top cop onto its executive team.
Jim Chu will serve as AIG’s vice-president of special projects and partnerships, the Vancouver-based company announced Friday (July 31).
Chu, who retired as the city’s chief constable in May, will provide regulatory oversight and help build business partnerships in his new role with the same company that owns the Vancouver Canucks NHL team.
AIG said in a statement Chu would be tasked specifically with working with First Nations on its agricultural, energy and development projects across B.C.
During his 36 year serving on Vancouver Police Department, Chu earned a bachelor’s of business administration from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the University of B.C.
