The food court and lower level of downtown Vancouver’s popular Harbour Centre have had a multi-million dollar makeover.
The renovated facilities were officially opened this week. The areas are approximately 17,500 square feet and can accommodate 600 seated customers. The redesign includes higher ceilings, an open-concept lounge and a new colour scheme.
“There’s a daytime population of 130,000 within one kilometer of Harbour Centre. We saw an opportunity to create a more contemporary and inviting atmosphere to better serve existing customers and attract new patrons to the Centre,” said Harbour Centre Complex general manager Richard Lui
“We’re thrilled with the finished product and look forward to welcoming customers to the revitalized space to experience all we have to offer.”
In addition to the redesign, new features include free Wi-Fi, digital directories and bigger washrooms.
So far, it is only the interior of Harbour Centre that has been given a fresh new look, but the exterior is currently in the midst of being improved, with completion set for late spring. The renovations will include new canopies and increased exterior lighting.
