B2Gold Corp. (TSX: BTO), the third fastest growing company on Business in Vancouver’s top 100 list, has announced a record second quarter gold production from its La Libertad and Limon Mines in Nicaragua. The company reported with production of 42,156 ounces, 6.7% higher than a budgeted guidance of 39,517 ounces.
In addition to the production levels, the company reported the following:
- record revenue of $67.1 million; and
- record sales of 39,668 ounces.
The company is forecasting that 2012 will be a record year for gold production, with a budgeted guidance of between 150,000 to 160,000 ounces. Both the La Libertad and Limon Mines are expected to meet their full-year budgeted guidances.
B2Gold has also announced that it has received the mining permit for the Jabali Central deposit, located on the La Libertad property in Nicaragua. Infrastructure development to support the mine will commence in the near future.
