Vancouver-based B2Gold (TSX:BTO) says two security contractors were found dead after being shot at their guard post at the Masbate gold project in the Philippines.
The incident occurred in the early hours of February 11 (Philippine time). The two guards were employees of Kublai Khan Security Services, a security contractor of the Masbate gold project.
The company says the shooting incident is being investigated by the Philippine National Police.
Masabate is an open pit gold mine 350 kilometres southeast of capital city Manila.
