Tech giant Microsoft announced yesterday that it will be opening a retail store location at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.
The new store will feature all of the company’s products. Metropolis and Oakridge Centre currently have Microsoft Specialty Stores, which feature a smaller selection of Microsoft products.
An opening date has not yet been announced, but microsoftstore.com said the store’s grand opening will have a free live concert and the chance to play Kinect with a pro athlete.
Former Microsoft store grand openings have featured such acts as Maroon 5’s Adam Levine (Palo Alto store) and Lenny Kravitz (Boston location).
The new store will be located on the ground level near the mall’s Grand Court.
As of press time, no further details have been made public.
