North Vancouver-based dental supply and equipment distributor Sinclair Dental has sold to global medical-supply distributor Medline Canada Corp. for an undisclosed amount in a transaction that executives say will keep customers served to the same high standards.
Medline called the 530-employee Sinclair Dental "Canada's largest independent, full-service dental supplies and equipment distributor," and said that the venture will continue to operate separately from Medline's medical-supply business.
Sinclair Dental's head office is to stay at 900 Harbourside Drive in North Vancouver. It also has two locations in Alberta, three locations in Ontario, two locations in Quebec and offices in Halifax, Regina and Winnipeg.
"We are now fortifying our position in the market with a solid foundation for future growth and customer service excellence while benefiting from access to Medline’s wide product portfolio and strong supply chain network," said Sinclair Dental president John Morrison.
Medline Canada's president Ernie Philip said his Toronto-based company is one of Canada's fastest growing medical supplies and equipment distributors.
"With Sinclair Dental now a Medline company, we are a leading player among Canadian dental suppliers," he said.
