Langley-based Freybe Gourmet Foods has been acquired by Premium Brands.
Sven Freybe, president and CEO of Freybe Gourmet Foods, will continue to lead the company, which makes packaged deli meats and other meat products.
Freybe said in a press release that the acquisition will give the company access to Premium Brands’ distribution networks.
Premium Brands, located in Richmond, B.C., owns more than 20 food brands and production facilities across Canada, including Bread Garden Express, Grimm’s Fine Foods and Maximum Seafood.
“In determining who to partner with, we chose Premium Brands based on their long history of respecting the unique entrepreneurial cultures of the businesses they invest in and their commitment to producing and selling only premium quality products,” said Frebye.
