Online furniture retailer Cymax Stores has appointed John Currie, former CFO of Lululemon Athletica, to its board of directors.
Currie had announced his retirement from Lululemon in June 2014.
“John brings a new level of strategic depth to Cymax as we continue our record growth,” said Cymax CEO Arash Fasihi.
“John’s leadership abilities and significant experience in raising capital and structuring deals will be invaluable to Cymax.”
Prior to serving as CFO at Lululemon for eight years, Currie worked for Intrawest Corporation for 17 years.
Cymax was recently chosen as one of four companies chosen for Company of the Year at the BCTIA Technology Impact Awards.
The company sells furniture online using software it developed that allows sellers to transfer orders directly to the manufacturer without stocking goods. It also licenses this technology to other companies to sell other products online.
