Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business has been ranked as one of the best in the world for business and management research.

The Social Science Research Network gave the local business school a high ranking, based on institutional article downloads.

Out of more than 1,000 businesses schools surveyed, Beedie ranked 54th in the world.

Beedie School of Business Dean Daniel Shapiro credited the high ranking to his faculty’s “prolific output” of studies and papers on subjects such as innovation, technology, sustainability, international business and capital markets.

“This ranking is yet another measure that highlights the significant impact of our research,” Shapiro said. “It is a testament to both the breadth and depth of our faculty’s research output that we are able to rate so highly.”

The Social Science Research Network was established in 1994 by Michael Jensen, a financial economist at Harvard Business School.
