Roisin Cullen, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter

Róisín is a reporter for Pique Newsmagazine. She currently lives in Pemberton.
Róisín moved to Canada from Ireland in October 2022 and they haven’t gotten around to kicking her out yet. Although, she misses a decent Guinness, she has picked up hobbies like paddle boarding and pitching really poor tents.
She did a degree in English and the Irish language, which mainly consisted of just reading a lot of books. She spent a year in France when she was 19 and hasn’t stopped annoying everyone about it since. She enjoys a good gig, but cried the minute she saw Bob Dylan in the arrogant flesh. After work, she enjoys plunging herself in bodies of cold water while onlookers worry about the hypothermia risk.
She is fluent in Irish, which comes in really handy when someone is being rude on a bus.
Róisín is a walking accident so is very excited to ski for the first time this season. She is welcome to kind Good Samaritans willing to help her on her journey to the Milano Cortina Olympics 2026.
Before moving to B.C., Róisín was a journalist for Dublin Live. She mainly focused on housing issues and the fact that all her favourite pubs were being turned into hotels.
