Global singing sensation and Vancouver Giants co-owner Michael Buble appears poised to add to his estimated $40 million net worth by releasing an album of traditional holiday favourites, named Christmas, on October 24.
Buble’s last album was Crazy Love, released in October 2009. Since then, the Burnaby-born singer toured, released the live DVD Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden and got married to Argentinian actress, singer and model Luisana Lopilato.
Buble has co-owned the Giants since December 2008, along with Ron Toigo, Sultan Thiara, Gordie Howe and Pat Quinn.
Buble is such an avid hockey fan that if he performs in a city that has a hockey team, he requires concert promoters in that city to provide him with a hockey puck from the local hockey team in his dressing room.
Despite Buble’s business success, however, the three-time Grammy award winner will not be eligible to be among the winners of this year’s Business in Vancouver Forty under 40 because he was not one of the 130 impressive young Vancouverites who were nominated.
Winners must first be nominated. Judging for Business in Vancouver’s Forty under 40 takes place later today.
BIV will release the names of the 2011 Forty under 40 winners in the paper edition dated December 27.
