Andrew Brown Maroney is merging with Calgary-based Meyers Norris Penny LLP in the new year.

The Maple Ridge-based accounting firm, which was established in 1971, said the merger would help it provide better service to its clients in a community that's expected to grow with the completion of the Golden Ears Bridge connecting Langley and Maple Ridge.

Starting January 1, ABM will operate under the Meyers Norris Penny banner and increase the latter's presence in the Fraser Valley. MNP has Metro Vancouver offices in Port Coquitlam, Surrey and Vancouver staffed with more than 84 local accountants.

Meyers Norris Penny entered the B.C. market in 2003 and has 12 locations in B.C. from Vancouver to Fort St. John.
