Revenue for customer relationship management software developer Maximizer Software Inc. (TSX:MAX) rose 6.6% for its fiscal first quarter ending February 28, 2007, to reach $4 million compared with $3.7 million in 2006's first quarter.

The company attributed the increase to improved sales and a growing customer base, particularly in the Americas and in Europe.

Despite the increase, the company experienced a quarterly net loss of $162,000 compared with a profit of $37,000 in 2006's first quarter.

The loss resulted in part from higher administrative and other costs, up 46% to $1.3 million, and increased spending on marketing, up 4% to $1.1 million.

Maximizer share price range during the past week: between $0.09 and $0.11; 52-week high: $0.15; 52-week low: $0.09.
