Pedro van Meurs and Jay Park have been appointed to the board of Realm Energy International Corp. Van Meurs is chief economic adviser to the Kuwait Oil Co. Park is a partner and chair of the global resources practice at Macleod Dixon LLP.

Michael Wood has been appointed president, CEO and director of Range Energy Resources Inc. He was previously president and CEO of Heritage Oil and founder and CEO of Candax Energy Inc.

Allan McNutt has been appointed to the board of Unity Energy Corp. He was previously vice-president, exploration, and vice-president, corporate acquisitions, for Titan Uranium and manager of exploration for Dejour Enterprises Ltd.

Harry Bauskin has joined Sky Harvest Windpower Corp. as a director. He was previously head of the Toronto and Canadian division of Bank Hapoalim and head of its investment advice division, deputy managing director for Israel Halutz Ltd. and senior portfolio manager and analyst for Afikim Investments Ltd.

Bradley Field has resigned from and James Friberg and Adam Clarke have joined the board of CBM Asia Development Corp. Clarke has also been appointed vice-president, corporate development. Friberg was previously president and CFO of Black Gold Energy and manager, partner relations, and vice-president, commercial affairs ,for Unocal Indonesia.

Nina Hirlaender Hinton has been appointed operations co-ordinator for Theatre Under the Stars. She was previously general manager of Theatre Terrific and managing producer of November Theatre.

Gordon MacDougall has been appointed board chair and Tom Bradley, Tung Chan, Anna Fung, Paul Lacerte and Malik Talib have joined the board of Vancouver Foundation. MacDougall is vice-chair and director of Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management. Bradley is president and co-founder of Steadyhand and was previously president and CEO of Phillips, Hager & North. Chan was previously CEO of SUCCESS, deputy mayor of the City of Vancouver and vice-president of the TD Bank Financial Group. Fung is counsel and chief privacy officer for Intrawest ULC. Lacerte is the provincial executive director of the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres and CEO of the BC Centre of Excellence for Young Indigenous Leaders. Talib is vice-president of the Aga Khan Council for Canada.

Bob Mehr has been appointed to the board of Merus Labs International Inc. Mehr is owner and CEO of Bob Mehr Compounding Pharmacies.

Scott Johnson, Mary Kemmis, Roland Monteiro, Andy Shimizu and Vince Morlet have been appointed to the board of Tourism Richmond as chair, first vice-chair, second vice-chair, treasurer and secretary, respectively. Johnson is executive general manager of Sandman Signature Hotel. Kemmis is publisher of the Richmond Review. Monteiro is general manager of the River Rock Casino Resort. Shimizu is general manager, corporate planning, JTB International. Morlet is owner of Tapenade Mediterranean Bistro.

Alberto San Pedro has joined the Hay Group as a senior consultant, leadership and talent. He was previously director of leadership and talent for the Hay Group in Spain.

Rochelle Morandini has been appointed partner, health solutions consulting, at Morneau Shepell. She was previously national organizational health lead.

Kent Kufeldt has joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as partner in the securities and capital markets group. He was previously with Macleod Dixon.

Jennifer Dezell, Marie-Claire Dy, Ginny Tsai and Andrew Prior have been named partners at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC). Dezell was previously an associate, financial services; Dy, associate, tax; Tsai, associate, real estate; and Prior associate, litigation, at FMC.

John Fraser and Susan Do have joined Hungerford Tomyn Lawrenson and Nichols as partner and associate, respectively in the real estate, lending and infrastructure practice. They were previously at Lawson Lundell LLP.

Elaine Hung has been appointed vice-president of marketing at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada. She was previously marketing and communications manager for Realtor.com.

Richard Leclerc has joined Peregrine Metals Ltd. as president. He was previously vice-president, operations, for Andean Resources Ltd., COO of Centenario Copper Corp. and vice-president, mining operations, for Aur Resources Inc.

George Heard has joined the board of Thelon Capital Ltd. and will act as CEO. He is president, CEO and director of Global Minerals Ltd. and Global Uranium Corp.

Douglas MacQuarrie has resigned as a director of PMI Gold Corp. He previously stepped down as managing director after PMI recruited Collin Ellison as managing director and CEO.

Paul Matysek has been appointed CEO of Lithium One Inc. Patrick Highsmith will continue as president and has been appointed COO. Matysek is a founding director of Lithium One and was previously president and CEO of Potash One Inc. and Energy Metals Corp.

Peter Barnes has resigned as CEO of Silver Wheaton Corp. and Randy Smallwood has been promoted to CEO. Smallwood is president and was previously executive vice-president of corporate development.

Kent Samuelson has joined West Kirkland Mining Inc. as manager, Nevada and Utah. He was previously geology manager for Fronteer Gold Inc.

Michael Hitch and Andrew Gourlay have been appointed to the board of Resinco Capital Partners Inc. Hitch is a consultant to Golden China Resources Corp. and was previously a mining analyst for Clarus Securities Inc. and Octagon Capital Corp. and was vice-president, corporate development, for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., Anglogold Ashanti, Echo Bay Mines Ltd. and Teck Resources.

Ian Chang has been appointed vice-president, project development, at Pretium Resources Inc. He was previously project director and head of project management for Fluor Canada Ltd.

Juan Esteban Orduz, Rafael Nieto Loaiza and David Rovig have joined Greystar Resources Ltd. as board member, president and interim CEO, respectively. Steve Kesler and Frederick Felder have resigned as CEO and executive vice-president, respectively. Loaiza is a partner of Nieto & Cia, senior director for McLarty Associates and was previously the vice-minister of justice in Columbia. Orduz was previously legal vice-president of the Cemex Group and deputy chief of mission of the Colombian Embassy.

Lee Doney has been appointed chair of the board of Coast Forest Products Association. He is vice-chair of the board of Western Forest Products and was previously deputy minister of the BC Ministry of Forests. Daniel Wilson has been appointed to the board of Lakeland Resources Inc. He is a sales representative with Century 21 Miller Real Estate Ltd.

Graham Parsons has been appointed COO of Empire Mining Corp. He was previously country manager, Argentina, for Alexander Mining.

Sean Fallis, former vice-president, finance, has been appointed CFO of Metalline Mining Co., replacing Robert Devers. He was previously the corporate controller of Rusoro Mining Ltd. and an accountant in the audit and assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Marco Antonio Galindo Ramirez has been appointed vice-president, operations, at Oro Mining Ltd. He was previously general manager of Capital Gold and senior process engineer and assistant general manager with Alamos Gold Corp.

Bruce McLeod has resigned as director of Capstone Mining Corp. to devote more time to his role as president and CEO of Creston Moly Corp.

Mike Magrum has been appointed to and Mike England has resigned from the board of Zone Resources Inc. Magrum was previously director of Seabridge Gold.

Hemdat Sawh has been appointed CFO of Scorpio Mining Corp. He was previously CFO for Crystallex International Corp. and Goldbelt Resources Ltd.Scorpio Mining’s current CFO, Gilbert Comtois, will continue as CFO for Scorpio Gold Corp.

Mark Rivers has been appointed chair of the board of OSI Geospatial Inc. He is CEO of CEO Capital Corp., chair of Roador Industries and was previously chair of Atlantis Systems International. Walter Purio has resigned as interim president, CEO and director of OSI.

Francois Chevallier has been appointed COO of VendTek Systems Inc. He was previously vice-president of service and distribution systems with Rogers Communications.

Peter Hughes and David Velisek have been appointed corporate secretary and vice-president of business development, respectively, at Golden Fame Resources Corp. Savio Chiu has resigned as corporate secretary but will remain as CFO. Hughes co-founded Pirie Hughes Consulting. Velisek is an investment adviser with Baron Global Financial Canada Ltd.

Kanwal Sachdeva has been appointed CEO of Globetech Ventures Corp. He was previously an independent director. Casey Forward, previous CEO and CFO, has consented to remain as CFO.
