Quarterly revenue and profit rise for Vancouver retirement home developer

Vancouver's Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. (TSX:ACC) reported a 9% rise in revenue to $11.4 million and a 24% increase in net profit to $2.6 million for its second quarter ending November 30, 2007.

Vancouver's Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. (TSX:ACC) reported a 9% rise in revenue to $11.4 million and a 24% increase in net profit to $2.6 million for its second quarter ending November 30, 2007.

An increase in revenue from the management of its 15 existing retirement communities across Canada was the main reason for Amica's stronger quarterly performance.

The company has 25 developments in Canada; 10 are under development. Amica said four new communities will be opening in Ontario this year.
