Social media guru and entrepreneur Stephen Jagger is set to launch the fourth business in the growing empire that he co-owns with Michael Stephenson.
“Payrollhero.com is payroll software that does payroll time tracking and scheduling for businesses,” the Vancouver-based 33-year-old told Business in Vancouver as he was moving between meetings in San Francisco.
“The beauty of it is that it lets employees log in and see their schedule, their time worked, their past pay statements. They can see not only what they earned in the last two weeks, but what they earned today. We’re chasing the employer who has the Facebook generation working for them – the millennials.”
Jagger and Stephenson have been running businesses since 2000, when they launched a Vancouver web hosting company that morphed into Ubertor – a company that helps real estate professionals build effective websites that include videos and social media.
In 2008, they launched OursourcingThingsDone.com, which enables companies to outsource work to about 90 workers in the Philippines that the duo employ at a 3,500-square-foot leased facility.
They also run Reachd.com, which provides training for marketing professionals who want to learn about search engine optimization.
Jagger, who, along with Shane Gibson, co-wrote the social media handbook Sociable, is sought as a speaker on social media and Internet-related strategies at events around the world.
