Vancouver investment firm's bottom line improves

Vancouver-based investment firm Longview Capital Partners (TSX-V:LV) saw revenue and annual profit rise for its fiscal year ending December 31, 2006. Revenue from gains on investment increased to $56.4 million compared with $4 million in 2005.

Revenue from gains on investment increased to $56.4 million compared with $4 million in 2005.

Annual net earnings were also up: $34.1 million in 2006 compared with $1.7 million in 2005.

Longview's investment portfolio of 30 public companies is heavily weighted in the mining sector with about 22% in gold, 21.5% in uranium, 20.6% in tungsten and molybdenum, 10.4% in coal and 5.6% in iron mining companies.
