Vancouver mining company forced to suspend operations in Ecuador

Vancouver-based Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc.

Vancouver-based Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc. (TSX-V:CGP) has stopped work on its Shyri and Macara projects in Ecuador following the country's April 18 mining mandate, which instituted a moratorium on exploration and mineral development for up to 180 days.

Cornerstone's subsidiaries, La Plata Minerales SA, and Cornerstone Ecuador SA, have also suspended operations on other mining ventures in Ecuador.

Cornerstone's share price range during the week: between $0.24 and $0.21; 52-week high: $0.89; 52-week low: $0.19.
