BIV is proud to recognize eight exceptional corporate executives with 2023 C-Suite Awards.
Six CEOs and two CFOs were recently featured in BIV's print edition, including Aritzia CEO Jennifer Wong, who will be recognized with a BC CEO Award at an in-person event Nov. 15.
Wong has served as CEO of the Vancouver-founded and globally successful women’s fashion brand Aritzia since May 2022. Prior to her appointment, she was the company’s president, COO and executive committee chair for seven years. Wong has served on Aritzia’s board of directors since 2016.
Wong began her tenure at Aritzia in 1987 as a part-time sales associate. Over her career at the Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company, she has worked in virtually every area of the business, moving into progressively senior leadership roles in retail, and then moving into product, where she managed the company’s shoe division.
Since the early 2000s, Wong has had primary responsibility for building Aritzia’s infrastructure across people, process, technology and space. She has been an executive sponsor for key strategic growth initiatives – including the expansion of Aritzia’s distribution facilities, the launch of its e-commerce business and the company’s initial U.S. expansion.
Wong is a member of the Business Council of Canada. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of British Columbia.
