With its mild climate, warm hospitality at every turn, and a downtown core that’s walkable in just 15 minutes, Victoria is the perfect destination for rest and relaxation.

But that's not all. For business owners and corporate leaders seeking memorable events and meetings, Victoria offers an exceptional combination of convenience, charm, and top-tier facilities. With minimal rain and easy accessibility, it’s an ideal spot for productive and enjoyable business gatherings.

And, the team at Destination Greater Victoria can help business travellers, associations and sectors of all sorts to plan any meeting or conference.

“Our Business Events Victoria team provides all the information and support you need for planning meetings in the city,” says Miranda Ji, executive vice president of sales and business development with Destination Greater Victoria. “Our team can source hotel venues for you and connect you to other meeting venues, transportation options, activities, attractions, restaurants and any other information you need to help you in planning your meeting.”

Greater Victoria is a charming destination, well known for its iconic Inner Harbour, turn-of-the century architecture, manicured gardens, afternoon tea, friendly locals and eclectic neighbourhoods. A true gem of Vancouver Island, the capital region is widely recognized as a top destination in the travel and tourism industry and is well-known for being a year-round destination.

And it’s not just islanders who know this – Victoria was named the “Best Small City in the World” at the Condé Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice Awards in both 2023 and 2024.

Picture whale watching, spas, a vibrant nightlife and world-class restaurants as just a few of the perks to maximize your island time.

“Our destination remains both an idyllic setting and a perfect environment to conduct business due not only to our natural beauty, but also the dedication of our partners who live and work in Victoria,” Ji says.

Meeting space abounds across the region, including a handful of notable locations:

Victoria Conference Centre

It’s Victoria’s largest meeting venue and centrally located downtown, minutes from the Inner Harbour. Surrounded by a variety of hotels, activities and restaurants within walking distance, this venue has 77,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 21 rooms, an exhibit hall, and 400-seat lecture theatre, including an outdoor courtyard space.

Crystal Garden

Spread across 25,000 square feet, the famous Crystal Palace was built for London’s 1851 Great Exposition. This historic landmark has been converted into a coveted event space with a storied past.

Royal BC Museum

Part showpiece and part history, the Royal BC Museum is one of Canada’s greatest cultural treasures. This versatile venue can accommodate everything from a lecture or classroom style presentation for 20 people to a reception for up to 1,000 people.

Though bound by the ocean on all sides, getting to Victoria has never been easier.

Victoria International Airport (YYJ) has more than 100 daily flights throughout North America, including non-stop flights from Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Kelowna and Seattle. In addition to flights from the airport, travellers can also fly to Victoria with Harbour Air Seaplane, Kenmore Air Seaplanes or Helijet helicopters.

Several options are also available for those commuting on the water: BC Ferries; the Clipper Ferry from downtown Seattle to downtown Victoria and the Black Ball Ferry Line Coho Ferry from Port Angeles.

“Getting to Victoria is part of the experience,” Ji says.
