- Current MLA: George Chow, BC NDP (first elected in 2017
- Candidates:
- BC NDP: George Chow
- BC Greens: Françoise Raunet
- BC Conservative: Jagdeep Sanghera
- Description:
- Since 1986, Vancouver-Fraserview has gone for the winning party in every election. In recent years, incumbent MLA George Chow has built a personal vote in this bellwether seat, even managing to increase his raw vote by 1,000 in 2020, while the pandemic depressed turnout.
- Nestled in the southeast corner of Vancouver, the riding encompasses the diverse neighbourhoods of Killarney, Victoria-Fraserview, and a sliver of Sunset—all in a multicultural tapestry that is 38 per cent Chinese, 18 per cent South Asian and 10% per cent Filipino.
- While most of Vancouver is rapidly densifying, Fraserview has done so at a much slower pace, with buildings above six storeys still a rare sight.
- The BC NDP does the best on the easternmost edge of the riding in Champlain Heights, with townhouse complexes and co-ops providing cheap, affordable housing. Meanwhile, the BC Liberals have traditionally done the best around the centre of the riding, which, while not as affluent as the West Side, is nonetheless quite solidly middle-class.
- Election 2020 Results (with 2024 boundaries):
- BC NDP – 57%
- BC Liberals – 33%
- BC Greens – 9%
