Vancouver-Point Grey Electoral District
  • Current MLA: David Eby, BC NDP (first elected in 2013)
  • Candidates:
    • BC NDP: David Eby
    • BC United: None nominated yet
    • BC Greens: Devyani Singh
    • BC Conservatives: Paul Ratchford
  • Description:
    • The only riding in the country to have been represented by three Premiers, Vancouver-Point Grey was never truly safe for the free enterprise coalition. After David Eby narrowly upset Premier Christy Clark in 2013, he has not looked back - winning by 20 points in his subsequent re-election bids.
    • Centered around West Broadway, the riding stretches from Kitsilano’s mix of low-rise apartments, duplexes, and townhomes to the University of British Columbia’s burgeoning new developments—with West Point Grey traditional single-family homes and basement suites scattered throughout.
    • Thanks to rapid development, diversification, and densification at UBC since 2000, it comes as no surprise that Vancouver-Point Grey is the most educated riding in British Columbia.
    • With Senakw in Kitsilano; the Jericho Lands in West Point Grey, and its incumbent MLA’s push for densification as Premier, expect housing to become a hot topic as election day approaches.
  • Election 2020 Results (with 2024 boundaries):
    • BC NDP – 50%
    • BC Liberals – 33%
    • BC Greens – 17%
