- Description:
- Vancouver-Fairview was a swing riding, held at one point by former Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson for the BC NDP and by former education minister Margaret MacDiarmid for the BC Liberals.
- The BC NDP’s George Heyman won in Vancouver-Fairview in 2013, 2017 and 2020.
- South Granville is an even safer version of Vancouver-Fairview for the BC NDP, losing the Shaughnessy portion of the ridings in exchange for eastern Kitsilano and False Creek.
- The riding mostly consists of the neighbourhood of Fairview, made up of young, white urban professionals of various incomes, with some of eastern Kitsilano as well.
- This is the second most university-educated riding in the province. Many of its residents work in the burgeoning tech sector. This includes BC NDP candidate Brenda Bailey, who won a seat in 2020 in the now-defunct Vancouver-False Creek riding.
- Election 2020 Results (with 2024 boundaries):
- BC NDP – 57%
- BC Liberals – 25%
- BC Greens – 17%
- Other – 1%
